Decatur Mold Tool and Engineering - North Vernon, IN September 2019 to December 2019

I unloaded presses, inspected and packed parts as well as labeling containers correctly. I monitored machines while operating for minor and major issues. I most generally could correct any problem quickly and safely.

I went around shop in spare time helping others make boxes, take off scrap, etc. I had to log daily production, scrap, down time, as well as over all quality, or machine issues for management and oncoming operators.

I was operator loading & unloading CNC machines, doing scheduled quality checks, logging results. I was promoted to compound die position, I had to do many quality checks on set number of parts from each line. I used an assortment of quality gages and processes. Height gage, fit function, plug gage, flatness gage, lei tech gage, leak tester, refractometry, cmm data, calipers, height gage, ring gage, visual checks, torque wrench, surfeiter.

I was promoted to line leader in first year, I trained, counseled, catered to, assisted, and instructed associates. I was a strong leader, understanding, still firm, took time to observe each operators weaknesses and or strengths. I addressed each one individually. I am proud to say, I had respect and gave respect, this equated to quotas being met, less scrap, less down time, and a unified team. Most of all, confidence, I instilled the knowledge of job and company policy, safety hazards, expectations, the end result was always confident, capable operators. I had to maintain CNC machines, diagnose and correct problems with machine function, robot function, as well as monitoring the periodic CMM data for assured quality and customer satisfaction. I had to keep in touch with material handler to ensure any ràw parts or component parts were available at all times. I had to project when a specific change over would occur, coordinate with all members involved, and push to make smooth transition. I had to make adjustments to tooling offsets, adjust work coords., In main program. Use hourly, checks to ensure parameters are met, adjust according to cmm data, and leader checks. I changed broken and worn tools. I set up tools and confirmed part quality, completed work order and confirmation sheets, as well as change points. Education
