BIO

I am an educator born and raised in Cleveland, Mississippi. I graduated from Louisiana State University at Shreveport and Delta State University. I strive to exemplify the characteristics of a highly effective educator. I am hard-working and prompt. I continuously seek to build strong relationships with my students and colleagues, volunteer extra for the good of my school, exhibit sensitivity to the diverse needs of students, and treat others with respect. I have learned to make difficult decisions by placing the welfare of my students first and asking the question, “What is best for my students?”. I currently serve as the Assistant Principal for students A-G at Siegel Middle School. My roles include discipline for students A-G, building maintenance, athletics coordination, TEAM observations, instructional leadership for social studies and exploratory, textbook distribution, and Fall and Spring Carnival coordination.

In my personal life, I enjoy reading, camping, and traveling with my wife, Alicia. We often collaborate to volunteer and engage with the educational community. We have lived in Nashville for the past three years and are currently planning to relocate to the New Orleans area for Alicia’s job and to get back to our favorite place, Louisiana. My educational journey has included many changes of placement due to moves for my wife’s career advancement.
