I am excited to express my interest in the Care Worker position in your organisation. I am a Zimbabwe based qualified Health Care Assistant with compassion, kindness and empathy. I received training from the Zimbabwe Red Cross Society where I obtained a Nurse Aide Certificate, Advanced First Aid Certificate and a Community Based Healthcare Certificate. I received practical skills training at Pacific 24Hr Hospital I gained broad knowledge in clinical healthcare. For 2 years I was employed as a Care Assistant at Woodlands Care Home where some of my duties included:
Providing personal care such as bath, oral care, incontinence as well as assisting residents with mobility and interaction within the community.
Assisting with housekeeping, infection control and wound dressing.
Monitoring and recording vital signs such as temperature, pulse and blood pressure.
providing companionship and emotional support to elderly residents with Dementia and Alzheimer’s.
Collaboration with team members within a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
Record keeping and updating care plans.
Due to my excellent teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills, I was commended for my relationship building skills and ability to relay information professionally and accurately within the home’s regulations
