I am interested in applying for a Chemist position at Vector Technical, Inc. I worked for ChemRoutes Corporation, Edmonton, Canada as a Research Associate from November 2008- July 2011. In ChemRoutes I was involved in custom synthesis work and synthesized ChemKits and catalogue compounds. I worked for National Research Council of Canada, Ottawa as a Visiting Worker under the guidance of Dr. Prabhat Arya. I contributed to large scale synthesis of chiral tetrahydroquinoline scaffold which was used to generate high throughput library of 105 compounds with 97% HPLC purity with collaboration with a big team. I earned my Master’s degree from the University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Canada under the guidance of Late Prof. Philip Hultin; thesis entitled “Synthesis of a fluorous benzodithiol support and its utility in the construction of diverse ring systems”. Synthesis of a new type of fluorous tag has been reported. During this period a new Buchwald type condition for dithiolation reaction was developed. The construction of diverse spiro-ring systems was accomplished by employing the umpolung reaction and the ring-closing metathesis reaction. I was trained with analytical methods like NMR, GCMS, LCMS and FTIR. I have experience in Biotage, manual column chromatography, HPLC-MS, FSPE using reverse phase system, Western Blotting and PCR. I am enthusiastic to learn new science with a positive attitude and dedication with strong teamwork. With extensive experience in high-throughput chemistry and analytical methods, I can directly contribute to Vector Technical, Inc. in an efficient and productive way.
