Overview

His academic training can be enriched from the years of studies at University of Southern California, civil infrastructure reliability lab under NSF grants for IT projects and technical alliances in the SPIE/IEEE societies. His specialty emphasizes in the areas of structural mechanics, digital signal processing, stochastic-based neuro network simulations for system ID and risk models on energy grids against seismic hazards. He has developed several structural health monitoring (SHM) technologies by using acoustic sensors for underground utility pipeline integrity and anomalies detection and safety monitoring for encroachment incidents for the major utility companies in California.
