Shift Manager

Pizza hut - Irving, TX - June 2016 to Present

Began my tenure at Pizza Hut as a cook, which entailed time sensitive creation of customer requests by combining resources in compliance to company guidelines for final product quality. Keeping work station clean and safe for inspection while keeping up with customer demand to ensure store functionality.

After 6 months, through several changes in management staff, Pizza Hut began courting me to be shift supervisor, which I eventually accepted and have been for the last 5 months. My duties then became opening and closing duties associated with the position of shift manager, such as safe and cash register set up and end of day audits; opening or securement of store access points and safety alarms; beginning and ending inventory assessments for daily store requirements. Customer service duties including answering phones, providing menu information to potential customers, taking accurate orders, procuring accurate payment of various types, and treating internal and external customers with respect.

Ensuring product quality and safety by thorough strict adherence to preset company standards, visual inspection, and personal pride.

Route Manager

Circulation Solutions, Dallas Morning News - Grand Prairie, TX - October 2012 to April 2016 Began my tenure at circulation solutions as a courier. My job was on-time home delivery of customer requested products. Using company provided route information to deliver those products accurately After 3 months, due to achieving my degree, I was promoted to one of three route managers for the city of Irving, five months after that, I was the only route manager for Irving! Upon arrival each night, 7 nights per week, my first task was to review any changes in any of the 30 plus routes I was responsible for and if necessary, would provide and record any logistical information or relative corrections needed by the courier assigned to that route. My next task was distribution of resources provided by the Dallas morning news to each route driver accordingly and supervision of proper securement of those resources to ensure on time delivery to customer, if necessary, visual conformation of delivery accuracy relative to customer request, including follow up and redilevery if necessary.

My duties also included generating interest for and keeping all 30 plus routes properly staffed, orientation, and training of new hires.

Weekly recording of courier time sheets or any payroll changes to provide accurate information to the Contractor, my boss in charge of payroll.

Overnight teller (unsupervised)

Pls check cashing - Irving, TX - March 2010 to March 2012 Responsible for cashing verified payroll checks, or investigating checks with source information and financial institutions in order to achieve verification on new checks. Maintaing a cash drawer while demonstrating and selling store products or services offered to patrons by pls. Responsible for end of day audit of all daily store transactions including accuracy of all cashed checks by all tellers and managers, verifying all cash drawer and store cash totals, then generating and recording final totals for daily bank deposit.

After two months in this position I also began generating the store schedule upon review of the store manager EDUCATION

Unfortunently, there is a small gap in my resume between my time at circulation solutions and pizza hut, during this dark time, I chose to be by my Mothers side in her fight with liver cancer, despite my understanding of what such a gap could do to my career track, and the consequences to my financial situation, I made the decision to care for my mom which meant stepping down from my route manager position. I don't regret taking this action, my mother was a selfless loving woman and very important to me, losing her took a toll on my life which i had and still have difficulty dealing with, this is why i chose to work at pizza hut, started as cook, and have since then been promoted to shift manger. If I am given a chance, I will prove to be an asset to your organization through a passionate work ethic, razor like cognitive ability, and a selfless respect for others which I'm proud to have inherited from my mother!
