Recruiting, retaining and growing a volunteer workforce sufficient in number to meet the strategic needs of Meals on Wheels of Metro Tulsa (MOWMT). Developing MOWMT to be the premier volunteer program of choice for Individuals, Churches, Corporations and Civic Organizations in the Tulsa region wanting to donate their time to the service of others.

Researches, designs and implements best practices in volunteer recruitment, retention, and engagement.

Engages Metro Tulsa community through multiple forward-facing channels (i.e., speaking with the media, corporate presentations) with the messaging and mission of MOWMT.

Directs Volunteer Services Team in daily operations of onboarding, training and connecting volunteers to the mission of MOWMT.

Cultivates relationships with partner agencies to execute home meal delivery operations to more than 2,100 clients weekly.

Provides education, training, and technical assistance to all program staff engaging volunteers to assure a positive volunteer experience while maximizing retention.

Collaborates with Development Team to identify funding opportunities for unique volunteer recruitment appeals, events and engagement opportunities.

AMERICAN RED CROSS, Tulsa, OK June 2020 – June 2022

Regional Philanthropy Officer

Responsibilities Include:

Develops and executes ongoing strategy for qualifying donors to ensure retention, growth of individual donor contributions as well as recapture from previous donors. Works collaboratively with other departments to create customized solicitation strategies matching the objectives of the organization and interests of the donor/prospect.

Implements programs/activities to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors with an emphasis on maximizing revenue for the American Red Cross. Identifies potential planned giving prospects among assigned donors and partners with region's assigned Gift Planning Officer to solicit those prospects. Updates donor records in region and/or district database and Salesforce.com following donor contacts

Develops ongoing relationships with major donors for the benefits of the American Red Cross. Cultivates relationships for individual fundraising, organizational fundraising, or both and by supporting volunteer leaders in peer-to-peer outreach, using giving societies such as the Tiffany Circle Society of Women Leaders as a key program.
