Centennial Hills Hospital, Las Vegas — Phlebotomy Clinicals December 18th 2023 - January 5th 2024

Clinicals was a 3 week course and required a minimum of 100 successful venipunctures during a 100 hours rotation. I did 120 successful venipunctures out of 150 venipunctures. Patients I mostly attended to were ranging from the ages 22 years old – 90 years old. I also did skin punctures and blood cultures.

DST is responsible for setting up the machines, Taking the needle out of the donor’s arm and wrapping them up. Tearing down the machine after every donor. Cleaning and sanitizing beds after every donor. As well as stocking if needed and handling donor reactions.
