EMS Program Director (2016 - current)

Administers, organizes, and supervises all aspects of the EMS education department. Designs didactic and psychomotor skills education for ALS and BLS EMS course offerings in accordance with National and State standards. Designs and administers multimedia-based training and skills validation assessments, including blended learning course offerings and high-fidelity patient simulator and scenario-based training. Provides appropriate basic and advanced life support emergency medical and rescue activities at the Paramedic level. Complete reports and documentation accurately, efficiently, and within required timelines including patient care reports, and equipment and apparatus checkoffs. Assume command of scenes involving multiple patients or complex incidents until relieved by a chief level officer; and perform assigned leadership roles within the incident management system. Serve as shift captain when assigned. Attend classes and perform those activities required to familiarize and maintain currency with the proper practices and procedures of emergency medical services to effect an efficient delivery of services. Serve as a clinical preceptor and mentor for EMS students. Perform other job duties as assigned.
