1.Deputy Auditor General of Pakistan 2009-10

As Deputy Auditor General of Pakistan for Defense Services, Audit Policy and Special Sector Audit brought in wholesome changes in decision making including audit methodology, criteria as member of Policy Board of the Auditor General of Pakistan. Provided guidelines for auditing in different sectors of the Government making entire audit process & risk assessment very effective. Presented Audit Reports to Public Accounts Committee in an effective manner thus ensuring public accountability and fiscal transparency in governmental operations.

2.Accountant General Sindh, Karachi, Pakistan, 2008

As Accountant General, Sindh, being operational department worked independent of Government of Province of Sindh. Facilitated all payments to government employees and suppliers and contractors of services reported to the Controller General of Pakistan ensuring budgetary controls and applying GAAP. Prepared Accounts for onward for presentation to the Auditor General of Pakistan in record time in SAP.

3.Financial Advisor & Chief Accounts Officer 2007-8

Provided advice on all financial matters on purchases & supplies by vendors to the manufacturing & services units of Pakistan Railways as Financial Advisor. Performed the duties of Chief Accounts Officer on payments of salaries & pension, provident funds to the employees of Pakistan Railways. Presented annual accounts for Audit to Controller General of Pakistan to be rendered before the Auditor General of Pakistan.

4.Chief Internal Auditor of Pakistan Railways 2003-2007

Worked as Chief Internal Auditor of Pakistan Railways and conducted several Investigative Audits and Enquiries assigned from time to time. Provided independent objective assurance to add value to Pakistan Railways and improve its operations through a systematic disciplined approach. Helped the organization in achieving its objectives by evaluating and improving risk management, control and governing processes, reporting directly to the Chairman and senior management and the Railway Board. Added objectivity and mitigated all threats that would impair our independence and objectivity. Professional skills and proficiency was developed in the Audit Teams through training to carry out the responsibilities with due diligence effectively.

5.Director General, Accountant General Pakistan Revenues (AGPR) 2001-02

Accountant General Pakistan Revenues (AGPR) is responsible for the centralized accounting and reporting of federal transactions. Consolidated all financial information prepared by the Federal Government, Principal Accounting Offices, Federal Treasuries and State Bank of Pakistan/National Bank of Pakistan. Payment of Pension, Provident Funds, Loans and Advances to Federal Government Employees. Fiscal reporting & monitoring of finances, grants and Aid by donors like IMF, World Bank and Asian Development Bank.

6. Chief Accounts Officer, Pakistan Post

Pakistan Post has a broad and varied role to play beyond provision of communication link for individuals and businesses. Chief Accounts Officer, maintains the Accounts of all Post Offices, Budgeting and Financial Management of Postal Department. It is responsible for payments of pay, provident funds and pensions of the employees of Postal Department.

7. Director, Audit and Accounts Training Institute (AATI) 2000

Training the officers of Pakistan Audit & Accounts Service in Comprehensive Auditing (VFM Auditing); Railway Accounts and Sampling Techniques. Coordinated & conducted their Study Tours within Pakistan and various departments & field offices.

6.Director Audit & Inspection, Agriculture Development Bank of Pakistan

Conducted Inspection and Audit of various branches of Agriculture Development Bank of Pakistan, biggest Financial Institution. Assisted the management during one Window Operations of loaning to the farmers. Carried out Special Audit of Loan Portfolios of Projects and prepared Management Report to the Top Management.

Financial Administration experience of Government of Pakistan

Planned and managed Pilot Project of Computerization sponsored by World Bank, Auditor General’s Department.
