Responsibilities:

Worked as a Research chemist in synthesis Research and Development

Get Project requirements which has procedures to follow and create trial batches of the desired product.

Gather the materials and chemicals required to follow the procedures provided.

Follow the procedures and perform the experiment.

If the desired product is created, then the product is sent to LCMS (Liquid Chromatography Mass Spectrometry) team for mass checking using mass spectrometry.

If the desired product is not formed, then create trial batches under different conditions to get the required product. If we still do not get the desired product, then get advises from team leads and follow the steps to get desired product.

Couple the product obtained to use in next steps as per requirements and follow the process until the final product is created.

One of the hands-on experience include:

oSynthesis of (1- Ethoxy cyclo propoxy Tri methyl silane), in this synthesis totally 5 stages are there. First step deprotection of tri methyl silane converts to ethoxy cyclo propanol at room temperature for overnight. Second step is to added benzyl ethyl acetyl acetonate and in third step conversion of keto to alcohol by adding NABH4 followed by Boc protection.

Worked on Buckwald coupling and Suzuki coupling reactions

Basic NMR analysis.

Did experiments on reagents like pd/c by using H2 balloon
