At Burger Bar I am a cashier. Before coved hit we were inside a Club and server as their permanent catering service. So I handled as many as 9 tables at a time during that summer. Now Burger bar is back in our store and do take out dining. I work 6 days a week in the front greeting costumers, taking orders and clearing orders before they leave the store. I also help with storage and stocking. I also create ticktocks and social media post to promote the food and events we have going on. I have w 6k following on Instagram.

My roles at RFS consist of reaching out via email, phone, social media, & in person with families and students. Rutgers future scholars is a program at each Rutgers campus that selects 50 7th graders from each city to receive a full 4 year tuition scholarship. I am a alumni of the program. I aid each student in my cohort each year with college readiness, professionalism, tutoring, mental health& branding themselves. I also teach the Dance Elective each summer. At RFS I took on many roles. As a cohort advisor I was a teachers aide in many different classes. I aided in English, Dance, Brand You, and College Readiness. I was the lead Resident Assistant for two summers while our high schoolers lived on campus to gain a college experience. I taught the dance elective for two years after aiding one year. I Was responsible for my cohort of 56 kids and making sure the end of the year goals were set and accomplished. I reached out to parents and universities to be on top of things and help each student. I naturally lead each work meeting and even taught some of my own classes. With this program I have grown so much. I have made presentations and events. I was furloughed here when COVED hit. However my roles with this company where to provide a lay out of activities, lessons, and trips for my class. I had a girl group of juveniles between the ages of 12-16. I had weekly meetings with each student and report through writing everything we did in class, as well as the students process, and the concerns during our one on one. I provide this Information to their DCF worker as well as my supervisor.

The arts Yard was a beer garden in the city if camden. As lead server there I had to ensure shifts moved swiftly. I was responsible with closing each night and opening each morning. I tipped out the bar and even sometimes worked the bar. I started as a server there and upgraded to lead server before the summer was over.

Additional Information

I was the Captain and Assistant to The Owner Tawanda Green Jones during my time on the team. I studied dance, as well as how to carry a team and command respect from others. I enforced discipline and sisterhood. We stood as one and I take pride in knowing that the squad I was captain of was seen on Dancing with The Stars, Good morning America, CNN, The Queen Latifa Show and more! This experience helped me learn to work with all people of all ages and share a level of support as well as push.
