NAES CORPORATION – Issaquah, WA, Mar-2021 to Current NAES Corporation is one of the world's largest power management and power generation services companies for power generation services ($750M+ revenue).
• Senior Corporate Controller - Responsibilities include overseeing all finance and accounting functions including general accounting, month-end close, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, tax filings, internal/external auditing, subsidiary reporting and consolidations, J-SOX Compliance, and financial reporting. Work closely with outside CPA firm and various teams across the organization to complete the annual close/audit process. Report all monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results to senior management at parent company (Itochu). Segment reporting included 80 departments, 10 companies, and two business units, all consolidated into one set of financials within a 2.5-day month-end close. CONSULTANT / PROJECT SPECIFIC ROLES, 2015 – 2021
• THE EVERETT CLINIC - Senior Consultant - Responsibilities include overseeing the implementation of an AP Shared Services department for the NW Region. This includes collaborating across multiple entities and department’s stakeholders to ensure the project go-live is on time and includes all the business requirements needed to be successful with minimal disruptions.
• PCC AEROSTRUCTURES - Interim Controller - Responsibilities include overseeing all finance and accounting functions of the local plant including general accounting, month-end close, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, taxes, internal/external auditing, managing plant assets, SOX Compliance and reporting various KPI results weekly up to the divisional office.
• WALT DISNEY WORLD FINANCIAL SYSTEMS & SHARED SERVICES - Financial Systems Manager - Worked on the Disney Streaming Services to SAP BRIM project as a finance lead to ensure Subscription Revenue Recognition and Cash Management is fully automated and the reporting is in place to ensure all reconciliations tie from the System of Record to SAP BRIM. Required system testing for accuracy and adhoc reporting up to various levels of management. Also assisted on the 21 Century Fox acquisition including corporate payroll, intercompany, and unclaimed property. Walt Disney World Parks and Resorts – Worked with the WDWPR Financial Systems team on a project to revolutionize the reservation system. This includes system testing, report analysis, data mining, conversion data testing, account reconciliations and complex excel reporting to determine where discrepancies exist in large data sets.
• WASHINGTON ENERGY SERVICES - Interim CFO - tasked with evaluating the current Controller and possible restructuring of the accounting team. Recommended replacing the Controller, hired a new controller, replaced two key accounting AP and AR positions, and adding a senior staff accountant. I lead this new accounting team to incorporate an open door and approachable culture which was lacking previously. Worked closely with the new Controller to build efficiencies in a very antiquated month-end close process. This included building intricate financial reporting and other advanced Excel reporting to assist in pulling and reporting on system generated data more timely and efficiently. Developed reporting tools that allowed the executive team new visibility into their financials.
• FUNKO - Interim Regional Controller for a for a public toy manufacturer (IPO, Nov-17) $480M (now $1B) in revenue tasked with overseeing the AP inventory process and team and creating efficiencies within their inventory management, procurement, and AP processes. Assisted with month- end close journal entries and reconciliations as well as assisted in the 2017 year-end audit.
• HANEY TRUCK LINE - Controller - Responsibilities include all finance and accounting functions in the organization including general accounting, month-end close, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, taxes, internal/external auditing, managing corporate investments, managing relationships with creditors/bank, managing capital needs including a $45M line of credit, and working with all levels of management to ensure annual budgets/forecast goals are being met. o Key contributor to successfully getting the accounts receivable components back on track after an exceedingly difficult and incorrectly implemented ERP system conversion that was completed prior to my arrival. o Reconnected a disconnected team and oversaw the AP, AR, Payroll, Credit/Collections, Accounting/Finance functions.
• AXIOM LAW - Senior Finance/Accounting Consultant - Worked closely with the Chief Accounting Officer, FP&A Manager, and Finance Manager to develop the baseline robust project and financial Reporting to help management make informed J. The reports also included macros to maximize efficiencies surrounding AR Cash Collections by location and DSO calculations. o Reconciled many projects extending back to 2014 to ensure the amortization entries in the general ledger surrounding deferred revenue and deferred costs tie to the amortization schedules. This included being responsible for implementing and using new EIB uploading process to help eliminate accounting errors moving forward.
• LIVINGSTON INT’L – Worked closely with CEO, CFO, President, and senior management to maximize project efficiencies and to implement the new 2016 budgeting and planning process in Hyperion Essbase. o Responsible for the budgets and forecasts for the occupancy component of the P&L for all locations worldwide

o Financially responsible for two separate projects reporting directly to senior management monthly on their statuses. Created new reporting tools to show office profitability at all locations worldwide. STARCON/CIANBRO – Houston, TX, 2013 – 2014 (Private) Starcon is a national oil and gas company specializing in turnarounds, maintenance, and capital construction projects. Regional Finance Cost Control Manager – Downstream Oil and Gas Responsible for the project financials for two hubs located in the Baton Rouge and Pacific Northwest areas. Partnered with HUB Managers to ensure forecasted financial results are being achieved as well as company policies and procedures are being adher ed to.
