Practice Manager Oct 2014-Present

Promoted to Practice Coordinator then Manager, with added responsibilities which include but not limited to: independently manage 15 outpatient practice sites with over 35 physicians, PA, fellows and residents and staff including medical assistants, surgical scheduler, nursing staff, receptionist and administrative assistants.

Work on department policies and procedures with the director of operations, manage all open positions for the practices I manage.

Manage supply chain orders, medication supplies order them and send for approval.

Attend system wide revenue cycle meetings each month.

Work with the medical director on, on-the-job training for Medical assistants, nurses and PA.

Assist with all patient complaints and further assist the staff with training.

I am responsible for weekly reports including: open encounter report, phone log report, daily practice operations, forecasting schedules and procedures.

Ensuring all staff are aware of all updated policies and HIPAA compliance.

Office Manager Feb 2012 – Oct 2014

Independently managed and overseen 4-8 providers clinical schedule and call offs.

I am responsible to recruit, hire, train and supervise clinic staff. I managed 7 staff members, their schedules and found coverage when they are out.

I worked very closely with the other office managers from the practice to share staff, to check on physician schedules academic and clinical.

I was responsible to approve time, submit PTO’s and prepare payroll in Kronos for all clinic staff.

I oversee and submitted inventory and purchases related to the clinic (medical & office) supplies.

I was responsible for performance evaluations, merit increases, promotions and any disciplinary actions of staff at the facility.

Ensured compliance with all UPMC Health system policies and procedures, including maintaining patient confidentiality.

Patient Business Service Representative/Lead Scheduler Oct 2004 – Oct 2010

Worked in Radiology/Pain Clinic-Radiology staffed the Pain Clinic where the fluoroscopy injections were done. Half of the day was spent in Radiology with administrative tasks the other half in Pain Clinic with clinical duties.

I was responsible for coordinating and managing schedules for front desk and file room staff members (4-5 staff)

I was responsible for approving their vacation requests, and their work hours.

I handled the staff evaluations both 6 month and annual reviews

As a Lead scheduler I made sure, front desk staff in answering phones, making appointments, getting films for radiologist, organized the setup of Iron Mountain (storage) where films were placed after Radiology went to Stentor, and assisted as and when needed.

When working in Pain Clinic checked the patients in Epic. Went over the assessment before injection with patient which included vitals and questions that pertained to the injection.

I would assist the nurses with discharging patients with vitals, organizing patient charts and scanning the documents in the electronic medical record.

I made sure the xray tech completed their charges in Imagecast for the patient’s fluoro time and medication used.
