Managed over $11 million in local Master-Batch, Pre-Color, Liquid Colorant, Medical and Additive sales. Including OEM (injection, extrusion and blow molding converters. Met and exceeded colorant growth as well as gross margin projections for 12 years. Aggressively pursued new opportunities, providing solutions and knowledge to customer’s problems as well maintaining current business. Participated in Black Belt programs to design new concepts and strategies for Hydrocerol (Chemical Foaming Agent) product line. Led and directed color presentations for handling and storage of Quality Control standards for customer’s products and projects. Purchasing Manager – Federal Mogul/Blazer International – Franklin Park, IL

August 1998 – December 2000

Responsible for purchasing over $20 million in domestic components for the OEM car market (GM, Ford, Chrysler) as well as our Distributors (Tractor Supply, Wal-Mart, Canadian Tire, Etc.) I was a member of the Federal Mogul Lighting Division Purchasing Committee. Managed a team of 5 employees which their responsibilities included sourcing, ordering, inventory control, scheduling production and shipments. Planned and executed a cost savings plan of over $500k across multiple product lines. In addition, another $300K of cost savings by negotiating a 100% increase in an annual volume rebate with General Electric Lighting Division. Negotiated new contracts with suppliers for extended terms, cost savings and increased annual volume rebates. Established guidelines and parameters for a new Supplier Performance Rating System based on on-time delivery, quantity and quality PPM. Helped implement training for our suppliers to reach QS 9000 status. Organized and conducted monthly material review board meetings.

Managed over 75 employees. Responsibilities included scheduling, planning and purchasing of raw materials. Implemented new production tracking and QC programs which increased production as well as limited over runs. Teamed with Quality Control to update production routing sheets and bill of materials. Developed reliable and competitive suppliers to work closely with our customers and engineers for production need For OEMs such as Harley Davidson, and Large POP Display houses such as Frank Mayer and RTC Industries. Reduced 20% of all packaging needs by executing supplier in-house controls. Exceeded production forecasts for the years 1996 and 1997.
