Project Manager for several Federal Government contract assignment(s) responsible for the on-going site audit and documentation of the existing network communications facilities, my work included the technical implementation and verification within the telecomm database(s) (Granite/Xng).

Assigned to contract assignment for Verizon Wireless supporting the North-eastern Region as the OSS Implementation Subject Matter Expert.

Responsible for the on-going site audit and documentation of the existing and acquired network communications facilities.

This technical implementation and verification database clearly identified and documented significant additional Transport Network capacity.

This project identified significant under-utilized facilities and provided the capability to effectively utilize the identified available capacity.

My work has resulted in cost savings of over 100,000 dollars per month, by recovering the no longer used equipment capacity, and managed equipment’s order, managing inventory, bill of material (BOM), and Scope of Work.

These enhanced facility designs, expedited the installations and eliminated unnecessary corrections of the Telco facility and related network elements.

Responsible for the on-going site audit and baseline documentation of existing and acquired network communications facilities. Served as the team leader responsible for completing the verification of each MSC Office within the Eastern Atlantic region; this work also included site audit documentation and site installation documentation of existing facilities, and implementation and verification of capacity management of network and Data Centres, documentation of facility designs, the installation of any Telco facility equipment and equipment order and related network elements.

This assignment also required providing completed and approved facility documentation of the established designs (including COX Data Network Backbone, Metro Rings and sub-tended Ring and related circuit paths) and circuit designs.

CTBH Project Engineer/Granite SME

Within this assignment, signed and completed over $9,500,000 in Verizon, T-Mobile, and Sprint commercial installations.

Responsible for all technical services from Network Capacity Management to the complete implementation of the Wireless 3G and 4G network support.

Responsible for implementing various local cell tower installation projects, also led the Cell Tower Backhaul engineering team, responsible for all XNG Granite documentation.

Responsible for ensuring each member of the CTBH team consistently delivered required results and designating ongoing responsibilities based on agreed SLAs (Service Level Agreements).

Monitored all project related work to ensure TWC standards are met.

Created and maintained cell tower backhaul plans to document, technology upgrades and enhancements, and annual capital budget (cost reductions, revenue enhancements, etc.).

Worked with Major Accounts sales teams and various Project Management teams to prioritize business objectives, estimate cost and project delivery schedules.

In addition, was responsible for the managing Data centers, regional networks data migration preparation, implementation, and post migration on-line “go-live” production data that includes site equipment and circuits for RDC, MTC, HUB, Co-Location facility circuit verification, validation.

COX Communications, Atlanta, GA Oct 2005 - Jan 2008

Sr. Engineer (Granite SME)

Worked on a contract assignment for the national implementation of the overall corporate conversion from Metasolv to Granite OSS database and established processes for Granite implementation by auditing existing equipment inventory and building templates to reflect the equipment in new state of Granite prior to implementation.

Performed audits from the OC192 level down through the OC12 level and OC3 level and DS3-T1 implementation.

Worked with Engineers in 12 separate departments to ensure that Granite was identical to what was reflected in their legacy EMS.

Acted as Team Leader /Granite OSS SPOC for Engineers to make sure the different corporate management departments were trained and certified with the OSS database in order to minimize the learning curve.

Also provided one-on-one training and group training as needed within the nine separate Cox Management departments.

Responsible for creation, development, and implementation of all Granite circuit paths and segments.

Created CLR’s from soup to nuts, building the SONET rings and ATM rings as well as access rings that allows them to tie the T1’s.

Modelled the circuit paths and also the creation of path segments, designed path segments and built equipment for site relay rack.

Responsible for the preparation and implementation of Co-Location facility circuit verification, validation and grooming in order to reduce operating expenses, requiring the verification of site audit documentation and site installation documentation of the existing facilities.

Responsibilities included:

Verification of the actual TBS facility designs; the installation of any required corrections for the Telco facility and related network elements; and providing completed and approved facility designs (including SONET layers) and circuit designs for T1’s and above in the assigned regional markets.

In addition, I prepared circuit engineering requirements and process flow documentation and provided on-going implementation technical support including the validation of migration to TBS version 4.5, version 5.2 and into the current version 6.1 OSS.

This assignment required providing completed and approved circuit designs (including Sonet layers) and circuit designs for T1’s and above in the assigned regional markets.

Prepared circuit engineering requirements and process flow documentation; on-going implementation technical support; post-data migration to TBS from existing OSS; testing and maintenance of the regional XO Communications network element inventory within the database (TBS) and ensure each transaction is loaded accurately and in a timely manner.

Ensure the validation and verification for each of the network elements, establishing the required “hard-wired” cross connects, validating all of the equipment configurations installed in the TBS (ASAP Database).

With this assignment, was responsible for completing a full review of all of the existing site/equipment audits and actual system configurations.

Finally, this assignment required working in MetaSolv version 4.5 and then conversion to MetaSolv 5.2.; the preparation of new employee job aids; and detailed documentation prepared based on knowledge transfer and interaction with the on-site engineers.
