Dear Parents,

This week the students' schedule will change a bit due to screen testing (reading, math, and writing) that is required by the school. All screen testing must be completed no later than Friday, September 29, 2023. Therefore, students will do the following:

Reading and Math Screen Schedule

Monday: Practice test

Tuesday and Wednesday: Screen test

Thursday: Writing screen test

Friday: Regular schedule

Review Unit One: Government

Unit 2 Location

This week students will learn the following concepts:

Students will learn how the government system works.

Students will learn other government systems are run differently than the US government.

Students learn that there are many ways to describe a location

Science:

Unit A Science, Engineer, and Technology

Chapter 1 The Nature of Science

The students will do the following:

Answer the essential question- What is science?

They will explore different things about science and learn how technology and engineering is a branch of science.

They will explore different things about engineering and ways it is used to develop society.

They will learn important concepts about technology that connects us globally.

Homework:

Reading:

Review spelling words which are posted in the reading area.

Reread the story Clark the Shark which is in your HMH program under modular one first story.

Math:

Review over math sheet sent home for practice -look in the folder.
