Consultant, Colorado Springs Material Development, LLC 20012 to date.

Conceptual study to develop a transportable ammonia synthesis plant utilize excess electricity from wind farm during low load period [evening and night] to produce ammonia for peak shaving and direct sales to farmers in the Mid-West.

Scale up from university research lab to produce low-cost nano springs for industrial application. Test adsorption capacity at the Air Force Academy.

Sund Energy Norway, Senior Advisor 2010 to 2012

Provide consulting services to Norwegian Oil Ministry in the review of Technical Centre of Monstad, the largest CO2 absorption test plant funded by Statoil Oil of Norway, Norske Shell and Casanova, a subsidiary of the Norwegian Oil Ministry.

Participate in a indebt review of Nordic Development Council study on direction of research. Nordic council is a joint research funding organization supported by the government of Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Iceland.

Senior Advisor, Shell Global Solution International, February 2001 to June 2009.

*Consulting works included supporting Shell activities in Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Norway, Qatar, UK, Russia and The Netherlands.

*Third party consulting works include Kårstø Plant debottlenecking study for Gassco, Norway and Baram Delta Gas Utilisation Scheme for Petronas, Malaysia.

*Major achievements: increased Kårstø Plant capacity by 15% with no hardware changes; identified potential to increase Baram delta oil production by more than 10%.

Since 2005 I have been focussed on post-combustion CO2 capture technology. I was the technical lead of the Norwegian Halten CO2 Capture Project (power plant and CO2 capture), Risavika CO2 capture pilot plant in Norway and Dubai EOR project (in charge of the onshore CO2 capture plant). Three patents on CO2 capture technology granted.

1989 to 2000: A/S Norske Shell

Lead process engineer for the Draugen Project during Detailed Engineering. Head of Follow-on and Completion Engineering, Head of Commissioning.

Head of Engineering, Draugen Upgrade Project: Initiated and implemented a cost effective upgrade of the platform increasing production from 110,000 to 220,000 bpd with relative small additional investment.

1985 to 1989: Shell Internationale Petroleum.

Process specialist in the E&P process group: Led conceptual designs of the following projects: Yabal Khuff development in Petroleum Development Omen, LPG plant in Sirikit field in Thailand, Rabi field development in Gabon, BED-3 Gas plant in Egypt and Draugen development in Norway. Advised development of the F-3 field in Shell Netherlands. All above projects were built and operated successfully.

1974 – 1984: Saudi Aramco

Coordinator, Gas Facilities Planning Department: responsible for the development of the 12 billion USD Saudi Master Gas System. Responsibilities included defining scope of work, preparing and seeking approval of program budgets from the Saudi Aramco Board of Directors and Saudi Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral. Major accomplishment was deployment of a new concept to reduce cost by as much as 3 billion USD.

1968 to 1973: Shell Development Company, USA

Process Engineer in the Process Department specialised in ethylene oxide, ethylene glycol and ethanol synthesis processes. Participated in 7 plant designs and four start-ups in 5 years. One patent granted.
