PROJECT EXPERIENCE

Cartographic Modeling Fall 2021

• Modeled best habitat locations for endangered species. Variables included proximity to water source, preferred land cover and distance from human activity. Using linear regression modeling, results were able to cover target with 90% accuracy.

Web App GIS, Collections and Dashboards Fall 2021

• Assembled GIS data to create a web app to track and query wildfires in real-time. App can be used to allocate additional firefighting resources and aid in prediction of air quality issues.

• Collected field data to create web map for trails and points of interest in Saguaro National Park. Human Geography Migration Study Summer 2021

• Created a relational database to illustrate a time-series of race-based migration patterns.

• Explored and mapped the historic racial separation/isolation in the greater St. Louis area that contributed to the riots following the police shooting of Michael Brown. Land Use – Advanced Remote Sensing and GIS Spring 2020 – Fall 2022

• Analyzed various satellite, ortho and LIDAR images to determine land use and erosion hazards.
