I was contracted by UPS to be Transportation/Fleet Manager. I monitor service levels to ensure external carriers (AWC) meet service requirements. Works with service providers (ROUSH and TDM) to resolve service inconsistencies. Dispatches information to service providers to schedule freight movement. Resolve vendor performance issues immediately to ensure carriers are paid on time while analyzing our local reports of inventory levels. Travel to local client sites to audit inventory levels and quality compliance. I maintain and create exceptions report and contact to follow-up with vendors regarding exceptions from those reports. Participate in daily conference calls with vendors and clients.
