PERSONAL PROFILE
Lilian is a social worker with 5years expertise in gender and protection in humanitarian context, I have a passion for creating lasting change for the most vulnerable populations in communities. I have developed and implemented programs that address GBV, child protection, women empowerment, and livelihoods. I have also provided critical support to women and children affected by conflict and disasters, including case management and psychosocial support. SASA! Methodology, humanitarian cash-based transfers, financial inclusion and financial literacy, safeguarding, child protection, prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse, accountability to affected populations and also familiar with international humanitarian standards. My personal qualities include empathy, effective communication, good team player, cultural sensitivity and a strong commitment to social justice and equity.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Organization: African Women and Youth for Development (AWYAD) Position held: Gender and Protection Officer (General Food Assistance Project) Period: January 2020 Up to date
Main duties:
• Leading the development of project work plans (weekly, monthly and quarterly) and compile activity, weekly and monthly reports.
• Leading implementation of gender and protection activities as well as participating in gender and protection analysis to identify major protection concerns/gaps for the people of interest.
• Reviewing and documenting protection cases and complaints and making referrals for further assistance.
• Representing AWYAD in protection cluster meetings i.e child protection and SGBV working group meetings.
• Organizing monthly feedback sessions in the implementation areas to collect complaints, respond to issues to enhance accountability to affected communities.
• Conducting regular rapid protection assessments to identify gender and protection concerns of the target population, with particular attention to vulnerable groups.

Organization: African Women and Youth for Development (AWYAD) Position held: Gender and Protection Assistant (integrated WASH and protection project) Period: January 2019 to December 2019
Main duties:
• Trained refugee women on gender and leadership empowerment for women led social change.
• Mobilized youths to participate in MDD and sports activities for social cohesion and awareness creation which fostered peaceful coexistence in communities.
• Facilitated community dialogues on social behavioral change and peaceful coexistence.
• Trained women on how to make reusable sanitary pads for economic empowerment.
• Conducted awareness in schools and community on SGBV, HIV, sexual and reproductive health to mention but a few.

Main duties
• Trained community members on village saving and loans association (VSLA) modality.
• Conducted monitoring and evaluation of the established VSLA groups while offering technical support in different areas.
• Distributed assorted vegetable seedlings to the established VSLA groups to boast their livelihoods.
