Project Description: Located on the Marsa Arabia Island at The Pearl Qatar's Porto Arabia, Marsa Arabia Resort. The Project is a 5-star Hotel & Residence with resort amenities on a total built-up area of 157,000 m2, offering views of the crystal-blue Persian Gulf, the Porto Arabia Residences and the Porto Arabia gateway.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead in the preparation of variation orders and Claims.

• Liaise with the client, client representatives and other 3rd parties on commercial issues.

• Take the lead role in the procurement and management of sub-contractor packages.

• Preparation of BOQ by taking off from the contract documents (design drawings, specifications etc.) and estimating the expected total cost of the project.

• Review and certify the subcontractor invoices by verifying the quantities from the project site to confirm that work has been done as agreed in the contract.

• Preparation of interim payment applications, liaise with the subcontractors and consultant to ensure all supporting documents are provided and securing client’s approval.

• Monitor the subcontractor Works and activities performed on the project site to maximize efficiencies, and avoid delaying the work.

• Evaluating and assessing the received proposal from different vendors, preparing the reports/comparison, and recommending the vendors based on assessment.

• Reviewing and approving subcontractor’s work estimates, change order requests and invoices for accuracy.

Project Description: This facility was designed for the repair of very large LNG carriers and a very wide range of other vessels as well as conversion of Tankers to floating Production. The 43 Hectares of ship Repair Yard built on Reclaimed land includes facilities for fabrication of structures for offshore oil and Gas industries. The project consist of both Internal and External works, Underground Utilities (HV&LV, Portable water Line, Sewage systems, fire Fighting system) Foundations, Fence, Roads(Concrete and Asphalt Pavement works) Lighting poles foundations, Protection slabs and Gates. etc.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for controlling and monitoring project total expenditures to ensure that all project expenditures are captured, properly recorded and kept within the project budget.

• Managed the accumulation of historical cost data, construction procedures and methods in order to maintain current estimating standards and data bases.

• Conducted detailed analysis of materials, labor costs and other associated expenses to ensure accuracy of project costs.

• Establish and implement the Cost Break down Structure to ensure utmost clarity in project cost control at any stage of the project.

• Prepare and discuss the budgeted, planned, actual costs of project activities on monthly basis with the related Project Leads to ensure execution of the project within the budgeted cost.

• Manages material take-offs on the most complex projects, drawings, and plans.

• Supervise the preparation of estimates in accordance with the approved procedure for all phases of the works from the agreed engineering deliverables to the appropriate level of accuracy.

• Review material requisition cost code, rate, and amount against budget.
