• Led the development and use of 3D CAD techniques that verified the first time fit of the assembly of the International Space Station (ISS) on orbit - participated in problem solving and issue resolution. o Found six berthing interferences that required redesign or modification. o Contributed to Common Berthing Mechanism guide meshing flight rule.
• After the Space Shuttle Columbia Accident, served on the Shuttle Tile Damage Assessment Team to ensure that the space shuttle thermal protection system had not been compromised by ice and foam shedding off of the external tank on ascent. Served as the lead of the team that created simplified CAD models from point clouds of data acquired by the on-orbit scan of the tile damage with a laser scanner. Member Technical Staff 3
