FAUJI FERTILIZER COMPANY LTD (Goth Machi Sadiq Abad PAKISTAN) DCS (YOKOGAWA CENTUM VP)

- Training at DCS is in progress

GAS COMPRESSION

STEAM TURBINE (NUOVO PIGNONE)

- It is very high pressure (105kg/cm2) steam driven turbine

(POWER 09MW).

- Turbine is impulse, Reaction, Induction, Extraction and condensing with vacuum surface condenser.

- Modern instrumentation i.e. WOODWARD Governor for speed & extraction pressure control, Bentley Nevada vibration monitoring system.

CENTRIFUGAL COMPRESSOR (NUOVO PIGNONE)

- Dry gas sealing system.

- Four Stage Compressor having MCL & BCL with latest anti surge loop.

- Compressor has four knockout vessels with high level securities and also has final high pressure and low pressure securities

- Capacity 40000 NMC

- Service CO2, Discharge pressure 160 kg/cm2

- It is steam turbine driven.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- To check, log and control plant

parameters.

- To read and understand the log

book

- Reporting Plant status or any

abnormalities to Shift In-charge

- Participates in all maintenance

and inspection activities.

- Follow standard safety procedure,

work order & work permit

policies.

- Having good command on safe

startup and shut down plant

operations, emergency handling/

trouble shooting activities,

Turnaround jobs and

equipment isolation.

- Capable of handling process

equipment's i.e. pumps, columns,

vessels and heat exchangers,

storage and loading etc.

- Comprehensive Knowledge of

Pumps, centrifugal /reciprocating

Compressors, Tanks, Pressure

Vessels, Heaters/Reboiler, Heat

Exchangers, Control Valves and

Safety valves and compressor

- Acquaintance with the operation

of different firefighting

equipment’s and their use.

- Coordination with operational

staff about plant operation job.

UREA SYNTHESIS

- Urea Reactor consists of sieve tray. (R-4101)

- NH3 stripper using saturated medium pressure steam.

- Carbamate condenser

- Having two centrifugal NH3 pumps with operating

pressure 240kg/cm2 and capacity 130 m3 /hr and two centrifugal carbamate pumps with operating Pressure 180kg/cm2 and capacity 76 m3/hr. Both pumps are

manufactured by Company USA SUNDSTRAND.

- HP carbamate condenser with low pressure steam

production

- Having P.D compressor of air for passivation of urea equipment discharge pressure with 150kg/cm2

MEDIUM AND LOW-PRESSURE DECOMPOSITION

- CO2 absorber with Bubble Cap Trays.

- Decomposers.

- Ammonia condenser.

- Ammonia pre-heater and condenser.

- Ammonia Receiver and Accumulator.

- Ammonia Booster pumps.

- Pre-heaters & Separators.

- Ejector system & condensers.

PROCESS CONDENSATE TREATMENT

- Distillation tower with valve trays. (Temp 180C and 5 kg/cm2 pressure)

- Pre-heater (Plate type).

- Hydrolysis of urea into CO2 and NH3 in hydrolyser. (Temp 235C and 38 kg/cm2 pressure)

- Multistage hydrolyser feed pumps.

VACUUM AND PRILLING SECTION

- Urea solution is concentrated from 71% to 85% in pre concentrator and up to 99.8% in 1st and 2nd stage

vacuum concentrators.

- Prilling section have vibro priller and prilling bucket and maintain quality of final product

- Natural draft prilling tower

- Having independent controlled board & PLC system. INSTRUMENT AIR GENERATION

- It has a dryer with capacity of 2000NMC/hr

- Motor driven air compressor with capacity of

3775NMC/hr also available for emergency.
