• Analyzed claim exposure for Daily & CAT claims from light to moderate. Conducted interviews, and gathered detailed information to properly evaluate losses per the completed field investigations. Requested appraisals for claims that were going to mediation. Reviewed policy coverages with the insured(s), instructed the insured(s) step by step on the claims process, and followed up every seven days regarding the status of their claim.

• Maintained open communication regarding property damage with the insured(s), agents, attorneys, and PAs. Suggested settlement offers within the guidelines of the policy. Negotiated payment arrangements, and prepared Release Documents once an agreed-upon settlement had been reached.

• Provided comprehensive, well-informed responses to inquiries. Coordinated various vendor services, such as emergency repairs, mitigation, and contractors. Experience with handling business interruption and working with forensic accountants and building advisers for commercial claims.

• Communicated with insured(s) and contractors regarding the estimate, and collaborated estimates when necessary through Xactimate regarding measurements, materials, or missing line items. Communicated with vendors

Auto/General Liability/Total Loss Adjuster

• Took incoming calls from insureds, agent’s office, and claimants regarding Total Loss and General Liability Claims. Kept close communication with the insured, body shop, and other vendors. Set up car rentals.

• Reviewed claims exposure to determine the appropriate action to take based on my findings and policy. Issued payments, and analyzed photos, and estimates. Review photos and estimates. Requested VIR (Vehicle Inspection Report). Verified coverage and cause of loss.

• Processed Physical Damage claims, and determined liability. Calculated vehicle tax, title, state, and local fees in State Farm Insurance ESC (Enterprise Claims System). Determine if the vehicle is repairable or a Total Loss. Determine branding of titles in various states and issue a direction to pay.

• Performed vehicle inspections and wrote estimates through Audatex and issued payments on Comprehensive and collision claims. Communicate with the insured and body shops regarding the estimate and made adjustments when necessary to issue a supplement payment.

• Processed Commercial Auto claims by reviewing accident reports, statements, and other relevant documentation to determine coverage and liability. Requested police reports, obtained medical releases, and driving reports from the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). Reviewed medical documents, and billing invoices.

• Investigated the circumstances surrounding the accident or damages. Determined severity of bodily injury injury(s). Worked with the claimants, 3rd parties, and/or Attorney to negotiate a fair and amicable settlement within authority limit.

• Provided clear, prompt, and professional communication to policyholders, claimants, and other parties involved. Addressed inquiries, maintained regular updates, and provided explanations or clarification as needed.

• Examined forms to determine insurance coverage and conducted interviews with relevant parties to determine claim denial or settlement.

• Negotiated and managed third-party injury settlements and investigated and resolved General Liability (GL) claims, which involved bodily injuries and property damage resulting from products, services, or operations.

• Received inbound subrogation demands from 3rd party claimants and submitted the necessary documents to the Subrogation Dept.

• Negotiated and settled injury claims involving both first-party and third-party claimants. Evaluated all evidence to achieve a positive outcome for the client's claims. Litigation Adjuster, Pre and Post-suit.

• Performed deed searches and other county websites to ensure ownership of the property. Reviewed Deeds, Divorce Decrees, Probate docs, and Affidavits of Heirship to determine legal ownership of the property in question. Logged all payments into Track Via for tracking purposes and the creation of daily reports for the client and their attorneys.

Team Lead

• Supervised a team of 8 to 10 adjusters who were responsible for handling daily and CAT (catastrophic) assignments in both auto and property insurance.
