Resident Service Coodinator 11 Youth Initiatives School Liaison I develop programs and head activites which enable and empower residents to be successful. I provide residents with beneificial support and information and have a successful rapport with stakeholders and residents, I created friendly functional environments with all individuals that lived in the facility. I trained staff, managed vendor contracts, and coordinated regular activities for the residents. As a Youth Initative and School Liasion I facilitated parent-school communication. I genuinely believe in the program and I advocate for it energetically students, families community agencies and the school polices. I am well connected with my work place and professionally and empathy believe that every individual has to succeed in school and career environments. I understand and work effectively with people of different cultures.

Emergency Subtitute Teacher In the event that the students regular teacher were absent or unable to lead the class. My duties were to manage classroom behavior, to interpet lesson plan and create information for students until the permanent teacher returned. Partnership for Youth Justice as a board member-2000-2004

Throughout the King County Courts, I worked with the partnership of the Youth Justice Program seeks to provide an alternative to formal court intervention for juvenile offenders who are eligible for diversion. The goal of the program aimed at maximizing citizen’s participation incorporating concerns for the community. We provided restitution to the victims and used appropriate discipline for juvenile offenders. It was accomplished by board members such as me providing prompt and just sanctions designated to promote and restore juvenile offenders and contributing members of the community. I collaborated with support services to people facing criminal charges, whle helping public defenders protect people from incarceration and other criminal penalties.

World Vision Federal Way, WA - 2003- 2008

I worked with high-risk youth at their schools, partnering with the Tacoma School District. I was a mentor to help kids come to terms with themselves, and stressed to them the importance of education and staying away from gang activities which include gang violence. Worked with parents informing them to keep knowledgeable times on the hours that their kids were coming in and to keep tabs on the kids they were hanging with, and I was available at any hour at night and during the day. I worked alongside with the teachers and guidance counselors; I held events during Christmas, and after community school events at the Tacoma Parks, and taking them to the movies during the weekend. Many of the kids that I worked with jumped out the gangs and went on to college.

North West Leadership Foundation 2003-2007

I worked with the Northwest Leadership Foundation as a peer advisor giving guidance to other outreach workers on how to work with at-risk youth in schools.

San Diego School District 1996-1997

I have worked with kids and adults that had autistic disabilities. I took them on field trips, worked one on one, teaching them necessary math skills, I read to them, fixed their lunch and breakfast. The teachers allowed me to teach hip hop music to them. I had home visits with the parents, and a lot of the parents said they had seen improvements with their interactions with people.

I worked as a counselor for at-risk youth, taking them on field trips, I took them to school, worked with school counselors in the Staten Island area. In my position I worked the night shift, I cooked dinner, played board games, and made sure they did their homework. They had to honor their curfew, so I made sure they were back at the facility on time. If there were any confrontations, I called group meetings, and we would solve them. I logged in my working hours every hour and wrote details that pertained to my involvement while at work.
