Dear Sir or Madam,

For a number of years as a critical care RN, I have been assigned to a variety of adult patient care with multiple system failure in intensive care units, cardiac care units & step down units of major hospitals in the DC metro area. In 1992, I learned the home care side of nursing as a visiting nurse using all resources, creativity and organizational skills available to resolve patient needs and comfort.

Through my Case Management experience, I became familiar with the drastic changes in people’s lives and what can be done to improve their quality of life, if not their diagnosis using patience, communication, creativity and critical thinking. I have strong cardiac and oncology clinical knowledge of adult care. I was often told of my ability to find the hidden detail that proved the case.

Today I am an expert at Utilization Review and Medicare appeals with knowledge in both Interqual and Milliman as well as Medicare criteria for Observation vs Inpatient admission status.

I am a quick learner and an independent worker, I am hoping to grow and learn more by seeking a career change as well as using my acquired knowledge to benefit your company.

Sincerely yours,

Arlette M. Jacobson, RN
