I left the business world in 2022 and leveraged my love of programming to enter the tech industry. Since then, I have “hit the ground” running, taking the work ethic of a small business owner to the tech world.

Seasoned programmer with a strong foundation in Microsoft applications, I seamlessly transitioned to Linux systems and Python in 2015, marking the beginning of a dynamic career journey. From pioneering an inventory management system at Southern Fine Rugs to optimizing e-commerce platforms and contributing to complex projects at Johns Hopkins University and Perfeqta.io, I have consistently delivered innovative solutions.

My expertise spans a diverse skill set, including Python, Django, Angular, MS Access, Visual Basic, and more. Notably, I recently led the implementation of a FusionAuth prototype at Perfeqta.io, showcasing my proficiency in full-stack development, system architecture, and project management. Driven by a passion for technology, I am eager to leverage my skills and experience to contribute effectively in a dynamic tech environment. Ready to bring a proven track record of successful project delivery and a commitment to excellence to your team. Dedicated Programming Experience

Senior Architect, Contract

Perfeqta.io

January 2024 - Present (1 month)

● Delivered a FusionAuth prototype implementation in 4 days. I am still currently working on implementing a custom, mixed solution of authorization privileges using a multi-tenant architecture. The current system has complex authorization privileges already developed which needs to remain intact as FusionAuth is implemented to deliver a myriad of solutions including: Single Sign-On, LDAP, JWT authentication/authorization, and Multi-factor Authentication. Programmer Analyst, Salaried Full-time

Project MUSE, Johns Hopkins University

February 2023 - Present (11 months)

● Created a system to transition Publisher books from gated to free access based on complex business rules that the client builds. The frontend queries data using a custom state Page 1 of 4

management solution written in vanilla Javascript. The client can then save the rules which persist as JSON settings. The backend can query data using Perl hashes saved from JSON data settings from the client.

● Enhanced the Organization's current DOI system with a DOI Reservation application. The application features a Single-Page application written in vanilla Javascript and a Perl REST API written using no dependencies.

● Designed a prototype Services Architecture, successfully converting a vanilla Javascript and server-side rendering using Python’s Jinja/Perl’s Template toolkit libraries to Angular 15. The backend was designed in FastAPI and leverages SQLAlchemy. The system architecture utilizes a reverse NGINX proxy, NGINX ingress into a Docker Swarm cluster. The CI/CD pipeline is a dockerized Jenkins instance with dockerized workers.

● Enhanced various datasets with Dedupe.io and public APIs using Python’s Pandas and Numpy libraries.

Contract Developer

Silobuster/OpenReferral

Mar 2023 - Aug 2023 (5 months)

● Developed a Python library to standardize working with multiple data sources and classifying data using a machine learning library called Dedupe.io.

● Solved deduplicating a dataset of approximately 16,000 records in only 4 weeks for Maryland211. The organization was at Jeopardy of losing funding on a year-long contract. Python, Perl, and JavaScript Developer

Apex Systems on contract for the MUSE Project at Johns Hopkins August 2022 - February 2023

● Developed an email templating web component that parses Excel documents, database records, and features HTML previews.

● Wrote a PERL ORM library to map database records to the key business logic. The library utilizes caching, query optimization, binary search, indexes, and a filter system. The library allows the joining of data from over 1,200,000 records and by utilizing indexing, binary search, and the filter engine, statistics on all records can be calculated in approximately 25 seconds. This approach allowed for long-polling techniques on the frontend to deliver a satisfactory customer experience. This solution worked around the problem of the architecture being single-threaded and monolithic.

Other Work Experience

Software Programmer/Safety & Compliance Officer

Merrise/Bizniz.io in partnership with IL Logistics Dec 2021 - August 2022 <full time> (8 months)

● Developed a real-time application for managing ground transportation companies in the US.

● Focus on horizontal scalability by implementing distributed backend services.

● Created an authentication, authorization, and user management system utilizing Cassandra, PostgreSQL, and Kafka.

● Built the system using a microservices architecture with JWT authentication. Utilized Django channels websockets to communicate with the backend.

● Developed the frontend in Angular and leveraged NGRX for reactive state management. Page 2 of 4
