Cocoa Bean De-bacterialization Addition

Ambitech Engineering Corporation, $6.9Million. Addition of a new (5) story de-bacterialization facility constructed for the specific purpose of sterilizing raw cocoa beans prior to the roasting, shelling, and chocolate liquor processes for candy/confection production. Building structure consisted of a five-story tubular structural steel framework situated on top of the existing Tank Farm facility. Entire building “seal welded” with foam filled dust covers on all horizontal surfaces to achieve a “Medium Hygiene” status. Building skin consisted of IMP panel and Sarnifil roofing. Debac units and conveying machinery supplied by Buhler-Barth and tied into the existing process at the bean conveyor bridge and bean roasters. AHTS Architects, $1.7 Million. Renovation of circa-1900’s three story masonry building in downtown Cedar Falls, Iowa. Project included renovation of entire structure including structural analysis and repair of masonry walls and lateral bracing at each floor throughout the facility. Final build-out included a 3rd floor comedy club, 2nd floor tenant space and 1st floor TBD.

Parkersburg Senior Housing Parkersburg, IA

Samuels Design, $3.2 Million. Construction of a new 31,000 sf assisted living facility in Parkersburg, Iowa. Project consisted of a one story, wood frame facility with 37 efficiency, one- and two-bedroom living units with full kitchens. Other amenities included a full-service dining room, chapel, salon, fitness room and lounge/club room.

Waukesha Electric Systems Office Tower Waukesha, WI C.S.D. $6.5 Million. Construction of a new (5) story, 45,000 square foot corporate office tower dovetailing with the newly constructed manufacturing addition. Project consisted of a structural steel framework, concrete on metal deck floors, precast façade, and a ribbon type window system.

Waukesha Electric Systems Manufacturing Addition Waukesha, WI C.S.D.; $9.5 Million. Construction of a 70’ high, 89,000 square foot addition to the existing electric transformer manufacturing facility. Project included: 1,030 tons of steel and joists, precast façade, installation of (2) 75-ton, (2) 15 ton and (1) ton overhead cranes; extensive electrical distribution work and new storm water management piping.

Kelch Manufacturing Plant Menomonee Falls, WI

C.S.D.; $8.5 Million. Construction of a new 167,000 square foot injection molding facility for the Bemis Group of companies. Project included: 505 tons of steel and joists, precast façade, punched and curtain wall window systems, installation of (1) 15 ton and (2) 10-ton overhead cranes, extensive mezzanine space and laser screeded warehouse flooring. Facility is designed to house management, sales, engineering, manufacturing, warehousing, and shipping.

Hilton Garden Inn - Milwaukee Park Place Milwaukee, WI Matocha Associates. $6.7 Million. Project consisted of a three (3) story, wood frame, 128 room limited- service hotel with brick and E.I.F.S. façade. Approximately 73,000 square feet including swimming pool, restaurant, and meeting facilities.

Architecture Network; $1.3 Million. Architectural and mechanical renovations of 104-year-old Historic Landmark. Dome restoration utilized a contractor designed and built structural steel working platform to access work.

Becker-Hoppe; $1 Million. Expansion of existing wastewater facility including building additions, structural improvements, and equipment installation.

West Allis Memorial Hospital West Allis, WI

MOB Addition and Renovations. Flad & Associates; $18 Million. Construction of a new six (6) story, 43,000 square foot Medical Office Building consisting of C.I.P. columns and decks, masonry and stone façade and ribbon window system. Project included: total renovations of out-patient, technical services and emergency areas, installation of an underground mechanical tunnel, power-house upgrades, expansion of existing surgical space and extensive site-work construction. Ch2mHill: $23 Million. Construction of a new 14-silo storage and material handling facility designed specifically for the storage and distribution of Miloragnite. Project consisted of an (8) day continuous slip- form process, multiple underground pipe galleries, installation of all material handling machinery and extensive pile supported railroad facilities.

EARLY CAREER 1982-1986

1000 North Water Street Office Tower Milwaukee, WI

$40 Million. Construction of a new eight (8) story post tensioned parking facility and a twenty (20)-story structural steel office tower. Project included: Bentonite caisson foundation system, structural steel tower, granite façade and composite deck system. Construction was achieved by a triple tower crane set-up and jump sequence.

May and Speh Corporate Headquarters and Parking Structure Downers Grove, IL OPUS; $7 Million. Construction of a new three (3) story structural steel corporate headquarters and parking structure.

St. Joseph’s Medical Center M.R.I. Facility Wichita, KS P.D.C.: $3 Million. Construction of a 3,500 square foot M.R.I. building addition including magnet installation and all associated structural and mechanical work.

$1.2 Million. Construction of a new 56,000 square foot warehouse facility utilizing the concrete tilt-wall method of construction.

Menomonee Indian Reservation Keshena, WI
