Correctional Sergeant

Supervised the running of a 120 inmate, self-segregated, dormitory style protective custody unit. Filled the position of "Dispatcher" who was responsible for the assignment and scheduling of approximately 90 Officers, 6 Sergeants, and 6 Lieutenants and Captains in a medium security prison environment. While in this capacity I utilized a PC for my daily duties as well as copiers, fax machines, the internal email system, and performed various clerical duties for my supervising Captain. Supervised approximately 1,900 inmates, 4 Sergeants, 15 Officers, and 3 to 5 civilian personnel as the "Educational Complex Yard Supervisor". I was charged with controlling the movement to and from programs, and all activities of all 1,900 inmates. I supervised all landscaping, laundry, maintenance, trash pickup and religious services with in this complex. I was also a member of the "Quick Response Team" utilizing chemical agents, impact weapons, and other lethal and non- lethal crowd control devices. Was certified as a "Trip Officer" tasked with the secure transportation of inmates within and between various correctional, judicial, and medical facilities. 2001-2002
