OBJECTIVE

An International trained Medical Laboratory technologist with extensive experience in various Laboratory departments and as a Laboratory Assistant providing quality services both in the outpatient and inpatient settings. WORK EXPERIENCE:

Duties and responsibilities include:

. Receiving, sorting and validating patient samples

. Analysis of patients specimen on a variety of automated system and through manual process.

. Participation in analysis and reporting or proficiency testing material.

. Instrument maintenance and troubleshooting .

. Maintains requisitions and other confidential files in accordance with privacy and quality policies and maintaining laboratory equipment

Armed Forces Hospital (Ministry of Defence), Oman- 2001 to 2018

Worked as a Senior Medical Laboratory Technologist in the Armed Forces Hospital, Oman for 17 yrs. . My main duties had been as follows:

. Prepare blood smear, perform and handle manual, automated cell counters, identify normal and abnormal cells, slide staining, routine and special coagulation testing in Hematology Dept.

. Conduct chemical, microbiological and microscopical analysis of urine, CSF and other body fluids. Identify parasites and ova in stool sample.

. Conduct microbiological tests, media preparation, selection, streak culture plates, identify micro-organisms, ABST, staining slides, perform sterilization and disinfection in Microbiology Dept.

. Perform routine, stat and special tests in Biochemistry using Auto Analyzers, Therapeutic drug monitoring, immunoassays, endocrinology and tumor markers in Biochemistry Dept.

. Perform ABO and RH typing, compatibility tests antibody identification, selection of donors, preparation of blood cell components, transfusion reaction testing and storage in Blood Bank.

. Perform various types of manual and automated immunological and serological tests in the Immunology Dept.

. Resolve problems / troubleshooting and instrument preventive maintenance, quality control/ assurance in all Lab Departments.
