Duties are maintaining and troubleshooting equipment at a Flurorpolymer and chemistry facility. Work orders were preforming schedule preventive maintenance on PH Meters, Analyzers, pressure transmitter, Flow transmitters,DP transmitters, Temperature, valves, solenoids, mostly all smart technology. 3/23/2020- 5/28/2020: Senior Instrument Technician, Baton Rouge, LA. Daily duties were to do scheduled work and work on emergency jobs as they happened. Preventive maintenance jobs also were done monthly like PH meter, flow meters level meters, temperature transmitters. The DCS system was the Delta V System, which is a state of the art system even though most of the units still operated off of a pneumatics instruments. I was laid off this job due to the COVID 19 (furloughed)- Reduction of force. Twelve hour rotating shift doing instrument and electrical maintenance, PH checks various types of flow, temperature level, pressure, control valves, EBV values, Coriolis flow meters, Vortex flows all smart instrumentation, PLC control, Solenoid valves, flame scanners on boilers. Vega level transmitter & sonar levels. Coordinator daily schedules and work orders to be done weekly. Even though we had to work a two man shift we had no supervisors at night. We were left to make the decision on each jobs and work closely with operations. At the end of each night shift we made report on each job.

2014- 2016: Instrument Technologist at Dow Chemical, Plaquemine, Louisiana. Daily functions working on a 4/10 shift, Sis equipment thorough checks on all various types of flow, temperature, level, pressure, control valves, EBV values, Coriolis flow meters, Vortex flows all smart instrumentations. We work on turbine controls. Boilers controls, burner management, PLC control, Solenoid valves, flame scanners on boilers. Vega level transmitter set in distilling wells and also sonar levels, all done with laptop setting and calibration and configuration through software. Keeping up with schedule compliance fill in data history for each job and order necessary parts on jobs coming on our planned jobs. Close out jobs after completion and stayed safe. I also worked on turbines. Thru out of my career I dealt with vendors and order parts and materials as needed on a daily bases. I also, planned and scheduled jobs took care of priority and emergency jobs and category 1-2-3 jobs. During this time I was lead technician, we had 3-4 outage each year I was responsible for all new contract hands that worked with us during the outages. My duties were to make sure all equipment was there to do their jobs. I assigned each job to each person, & I also mentor these technicians as needed.I kept up with all schedule compliance at daily meetings, made reports for production holdups and anything that was keeping a job from progressing. Daily reports on job performance and had to take disciplinary action against those who were not preforming their duties. I was responsible for ordering all materials for the outage and talking to vendors.

Troubleshooting and repairing electrical gear, analyzers and instrumentation. Start stop gear, switchgear, starters, power supplies, and UPS systems. Plant startup was often along with function testing on all equipment, burner management and mill logic programs built into PLC logic. PH, conductivity checks. I perform maintenance in a sulfuric acid and storage facility. Here I do weekly ph checks, repairs as needed on various instrumentation. Micro motion flow meters, Vortex flow meters, mag flows. I also, work with various level devices, bubble tube levels, radar levels. Mostly all Rosemont Smart family, repair on analyzers with these analyzers were monitor S02, CO and 02 and stack S02. I also, do electrical maintenance on lighting, 110 VAC services, 480 VAC services, also DC circuits, relays and starters, switches and switchgear, start-stop, and on-off circuitry.

I worked at the ethylene, benzene facility my duties were daily maintenance on various instrumentation, flow, temperature, level, control valves, EBV’S solenoids. All smart instrumentation Rosemount, Honeywell, Yokogawa. Commission loops worked routine turnarounds and I was lead technician in this unit. When volume of work load pickup and I was ask to manage the extra employees and help manager their reports and giving reports on their productivity and mentor them where there needed it. 2001: Instrumentation and Electrical Consultant: Cajun Connection Inc, IBM Micro chip facility, Fishkill, New York

I acted as a consultant/supervisor over union employees in a water treatment facility, and made sure the job was done correctly and within specs. Major equipment included a Modicon and a Triconex logic systems, all Rosemount smart instrumentation. Motor control centers, limit torque motor valves. Startup was completed and head of schedule. I had to make sure all instrumentation was being done according to specs, and to make all the instrumentation loops were sold off and signed off by IBM.

I was over a conversion going from an older DCS system to a new MOD V DCS System. I supervised a team of Instrument and Electrical technicians. Conversion was to go thru and eliminate the old system and wiring and install the newer system this was in a power plant unit. We completed the job ahead of schedule. I had to over see the teams paper work and procedures and make sure their JSA were completed each day. Worked closely with operations made sure the jobs were ready and tagged out and prepped - ready to work on. Did weekly meetings with upper management on job progression and budget and timing and deadlines to be met. The job was completed and well under budget. I was responsible for keeping up with cost and ordering materials and keeping a list of add ons to the budget and gave reports on any set backs or lay overs from operations or any other set backs. I worked at a chlorine facility here my duties were daily maintenance on various instruments, also I did startup and commissioning, wrote procedures on startups. Rosemount and Honeywell, Foxboro, MOD V, DCS system, Modicon, fisher control valves, EBV’S Bentley Nevada 3300 systems, solenoid valves, Beckman Ph monitoring and other Ph controls, chlorine monitors, that worked with a Ingold chlorine monitoring system. I worked at a caustic facility, here I did day maintenance. I performed functional testing, startup and commissioning during outages. Weekly ph meter and ph analyzer checks. Some major equipment included TDC 2000, Spec 200 DCS systems, Lufkin compressors which I performed test on vibration system and startup permissive.
