Having been in the nursing profession for thirty-five years, I have a wide range of professional experience that enhances how I practice in my advanced role.
I have worked in skilled nursing facilities as a nursing assistant, LPN, RN Unit Manager, Infection Control Nurse, Restorative Nurse, and Nurse Educator. I have traveled as a RN Contractor with Indian Health Services and as a clinical consultant, specializing in the post-survey process. In the hospital setting, I have oncology and SNF experience. In my current practice within the Native American population, I provide extensive Diabetes education, women’s health/contraceptive procedures, management of Hypertension and other chronic medical conditions, as well as acute alcohol withdrawal, dehydration, acute injuries, dermatological conditions, infectious and communicable diseases, I&D procedures, IA injections, and wound care/management.
