• Opened sealed trucks filled with different sizes and variations of heavy furniture to unload and sort.

• Be prepared by first estimating how many of each size pallet I will be needing and setting the stacks of each size pallet next to where I will be receiving.

• Received using paperwork given by management to know which truck is next to open and sort each package by specific item number onto separate pallets according to size.

• Pay close attention to details because packages often look alike but are different in color indicated by only one or two different numbers on the package and paperwork.

• Count to ensure each full pallet has all the correct SKU numbers and total number of specific packages received from the truck match the total number of that SKU specified on the paperwork.

• Worked fast-paced and with minimal mistakes because compensation solely came from each truck I fully unloaded correctly.

• Thoroughly wrap the pallets tightly that were ready for transportation in common warehouse plastic wrap, so there is no chance of merchandise falling while in transport.

• Utilize the forklift to organize all pallets in a vertical row in front of the original truck, often stacking, if possible .pallets utilize the space.

• Close and sign the paperwork saying each product in the has been properly accounted for, sorted, and put away, so that the load side forklift drivers may take the finished pallets to where they are needed. Package/Material Handler

FedEx Ground - Tracy, CA

March 2019 to May 2020

• I made sure all trucks that came to the unload dock were properly unloaded in a fast-paced manner onto the conveyor belt system, not damaged or too big and/or wide for the conveyor system.

• Damaged items and non-conveyable packages would be moved aside, unless leaking until another worker could take and have them sorted properly and prepared to be loaded onto another truck or ready for delivery.

• I would unload independently and also with a partner depending on the urgency of the truck we were assigned. I/we would separate non-conveyable packages onto larger carts to be driven by a small electric vehicle, that we in the warehouse would call tug carts, to the load side to be tagged and loaded manually.

• On the load side, I was equipped with an RF scanner and packages would come down the conveyor belt chute directly into the truck after being sorted by the system.

• Each package had to be scanned into the truck with the RF scanner and organized quickly to fit as many packages as possible in the shortest amount of time.

• Some packages would come down the chute belonging to a certain other truck. The scanner lets me know if the package belonged to a different truck by making a distinct sound.

• The RF scanner would indicate which load truck it belonged to.

• We often used common warehouse tools, including RF scanners, gloves, pallet jacks, dollies, forklifts, hand trucks, tugs carts and conveyor belt systems that assisted us in all of our work duties. Key Holder/Closing Manager

• Take drops quickly into the office, so I can report the amount taken from the register and late check drop logs to successfully ensure no register was short or over.

• Unloaded all pallets that belonged to our store with the electrical pallet jack from the truck that would usually arrive before lunch.

• Near closing I would start to count the drawers for accuracy, then help the closing cashiers clean their areas, throw trash, and stock the areas around the register such as the candy and soda.
