Work Experience

Auto Glass Installer

Family business - Summit, IL

January 2019 to January 2024

Ever since I was little (age 12-14), my dad would take me to work almost everyday. He worked for someone and also worked for himself, all the way until now I still help him every now and then, I have so much experience working with him, I could honestly work by myself if I really wanted too. We do, sedans, SUV’s, pickups, semi’s, commercial vehicles and even Cat machines used for construction. Anything that has to do with glass on your vehicle we can fix! (For example if your windows on your car don’t go up and down, we can do it! It’s a fun job and I love to see our customers happy! Warehouse Supervisor

United Parcell Service UPS - Hodgkins, IL

June 2023 to December 2023

First started as an Unloader at UPS, and was then promoted to a supervisor within 5-6 months. One of my greatest accomplishments while being a supervisor was turning 19 trailers total in one day, which is pretty good for a beginner at that time. That was also the most trailers I got done in one day. I also feel that at UPS I improved with my social skills.(learned how to communicate with people more because of my workers). Overall at UPS I learned a lot and I know I can do anything I put my mind too. As a supervisor I had many responsibilities, keeping my employees safe, making sure the correct trucks were at my bays and writing down each trailer number to verify them. I would also pre-trip and post-trip the conveyor belts I was in charge of to make sure they were in working conditions and made sure nothing was missing (missing parts or guards that protected me and my workers from the machine). But my main interest is Welding, I first started welding in highschool for 3 years and did a variety of welding

(Stick,MiG and Tig welding, and also plasma cutting). I am currently in college and will be receiving 2 certificates, a Individualized welding certificate and a Multi process welding certificate. After I complete these 2 certificates I am going to attend 2 more classes, one of them is so I can get another certificate

(Shielded metal arc welding) and the other is a class for reading blueprints. I am trying my best to learn blueprints, because I know at almost every Welding job you are required to know how to read blueprints. So I am self improving and trying my best,if I had to say one thing I need improvement on it would be measuring. But besides that I love welding and and really enjoy it, my teachers give me good feedback at school and I would really enjoy finding a job in welding to further improve and to finally start a career. Vehicle Upholstery

Star auto upholstery - Villa Park, IL

December 2021 to December 2022

Was an installer, as an installer I would for example take out the seat of a car or headliner (whatever needed to be replaced or fixed) and I would take the item apart and put new fabric/ material and even foam if needed to make it brand new again. It was pretty easy learning and getting the hang of it right away. At the shop there were cars as old as 1950 all the way up to 2023, (Mercedes, bmw’s, Lexus, Bentley’s, Lamborghini’s, Chevy belaires, Cadillacs etc…) there were a variety of cars so I would learn something new everyday, not only did I work on vehicles but also pool tables, chairs, motorcycles, boats and more. My boss was in charge of using the sewing machine and fixing the material while I took everything apart and replaced it with the new. Another thing done at the shop was replacing convertible tops. So after reading all of this you can tell I love to work with my hands and also love to get my hands dirty.
