Objective

The overall objective of the consultancy was geared to help a cohort of up to twelve families who had met the Youth Services Eligibility tools (YSET) threshold move through two cycles (Phase1 to Phase7) of the Family Matters Program, which was based on the Prevention and Intervention Family Systems Model (PIFSM. In addition to the task outlined below, the consultant fulfilled any other du- ties requested by the company and agreed to by consultant. Duties

• Worked in partnership with parents/ caregivers to strengthen parental capacity and family rela- tions, to build resilience and protective factors, and to increase parental/caregiver engagement in their children/ young’s lives and their community.

• Assessed, planned, implemented, and reviewed the PIFSM process with each family using the tools provided by the agency.

• Assessed youth referred into the program using the YSET.

• Provided the youth and family with the support that was appropriate for their level of need.

• Engaged with families on a regular basic to develop and maintain a supportive empowering relation founded on mutual respect and trust.
