Employment History:

Clayton Homes April 2023-Current

My current role is a Quality Analyst/Gatekeeper on the Quality Assurance team. To meet Clayton and state requirements, as a Gatekeeper, all homes are inspected for issues that got missed during the build, and I coordinate to have them reworked. I notify and inform the department heads of the issues noticed so they are fixed in a timely manner. In my role, I administer test such as heat duct test to determine adequate air flow meets expectations throughout the home, insulation test that measures the water that mixes in with the solutions that are in the insulation, to insure our products pass all final inspections per DAPIA instructons. Detailed records are kept of all appliances put in each house. I have helped with physical inventory in different departments when they are needed.

Corning Incorporated, Life Science Division Sept. 2020- Feb. 2023

My employment started off with getting certified for four different pieces of equipment, the sit down forklift, the rider reach forklift, the double walkie rider forklift and the cherry picker\ stock picker forklift. I was then transferred for 2 months to the pack station to learn the wrapping of the pallets as well as shipping of the pallets out of the plant to the customers. From that point, I applied within the company to work in the Inventory department as a cycle counter. My position was to go to different aisles within the warehouse to audit the entire aisle. I also learned to help different departments locate and transfer products back in systematically. After a year or so, I started cross training in the RMA room with the returned material. I learned to process the returned material, as well as, returning the material back into the warehouse so that it could be picked for other customers. I also documented all of the damages throughout the warehouse on a spreadsheet to document the different materials for the finance department. I also kept in close contact with the customer care team for the unauthorized returns. I devised a document to help better the unauthorized return report for better communication within the departments.

When my training was complete with the RMA room, for the remainder of my time with the company, I cross trained in the Sample room. My training consisted of getting a list every morning from customer care of different products that would need to be sent out as samples to different customers. I collected and packaged the products up. I used UPS and FEDEX to process and ship the products. I also reorganized and audited each piece in the sample room to discard all of the expired material.

As a cashier for L&L not only did I run the cash register, I also ran the grill. I greeted customers with a smile and friendly face. My employment also included running the lottery machine and doing housekeeping to keep the store nice and clean for the customers. My job also included stocking everything from food in the grill, inventory in the store, coolers, paper in the register, and lottery machines. I did many other odd jobs needed in the store from changing air filers in the vents in the ceiling and cleaning the gas pumps. Customer satisfaction was my number one goal.

As a deli clerk, I helped customers make choices on their selections of deli meats and other deli selections. Housekeeping was a top priority in the deli to ensure it was kept up to code on all food and safety regulations per Harris Teeter code as well as the Environmental Health and Safety Administration. I was also the backup deli baker for 6 months and also decorated cakes as a fill in. I worked overtime to make sure the deli was in order for the next day. I also did inventory control as well as auditing of most items that were in the deli. I also took orders for customers that needed cakes, deli trays, and other items for large and small events. I also prepared customers personal sandwiches from the sub shop and stocked that inventory as well.

At Food Lion I started out as a cashier for the first two months then I was promoted to the deli department. At QVC I started out in the returns department as a specialist for customer returns. I was basically a material handler for this department. Along with the experience with returns I was floated to other departments in the facilities which include Inventory control, outbound, and inbound departments. Those duties include housekeeping, opening customer returns and placing on the processors line to be processed and put back into the system to be accounted for, packing customer orders, loading trucks to be shipped out, counting inventory to make sure what's in the computer system was corrected. I also scanned some of the bar codes and had them put back into the system for inventory control to account for them.
