Responsibilities

Responsible for facilitating daily living activities such as assisting with bathing, dressing, and use of the lavatory.

Responsible for cleaning and tidying the service user’s room and doing laundry simultaneously.

Ensures that a safe environment is provided for the service user by monitoring their surroundings for hazards such as fire hazards or tripping hazards.

Observes service users constantly and ensures that any changes in physical or emotional health are communicated to the family or doctor.

Prepares and serve healthy, nutritious meals, considering any special dietary needs and personal preferences

Assists in partaking in meals and ensuring that medication is administered in a time-efficient manner.

Provides emotional support, by counselling the service users and encouraging them to be positive.

Mobility assistance: helped with getting in and out of a wheelchair, car, or shower.

Promotes independence by supporting service users to having positive outcomes.
