SACWIS-Statewide Automated Child Welfare Information System project is done at UNISYS for which state of Michigan is the client. It is a web-based application for the Department of Health Services (DHS) of the State of Michigan, SACWIS application have different modules like Intake, Case, Provider, Financial, administration. System overview should accomplish two things. As Michigan State moves forward in its efforts to create a new child welfare information system, which is used to provide services and resources for all neglected children. MiSACWIS meets the needs of all staff (including social workers and their supervisors) involved in foster care and adoptions assistance case management. SACWIS system also collects and manages the information necessary to facilitate the delivery of child welfare support services including family support and family preservation.

The system is designed for Department of Human Services for child welfare for foster care, adoption, Juvenile Justice and in-home prevention services. This application replaces a legacy system “Services Worker Support System” developed in year 2000. The Systems assists Case Managers in tracking child welfare cases right from intake/origination to completion, managing workload, documenting activities in one central location, providing accurate and timely data and reports to assist in decision making. Intake, Case management, Administration, Resource and Financial are some of the primary subsystems in this application.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinated with clients and prepared tests cases and ensured that all software applications were compatible with tests. Prepared and documented all automated test scripts.

• Interacted with Business analysts and Developers in requirements analysis, design reviews, testing and documentation for application developed in agile environment.
