Summary

COLT provides Network Services like IP Access, IP VPN, Ethernet, NGIN, VOIP, etc. across Europe. COLT uses APT for provisioning and activation of various network services. APT provides a single window interface to the Service Delivery Team and Colt Customers, this simplifies and reduces the operational cost involved in provisioning various services.

APT is integrated with many OSS & BSS systems like IPSA, Sonus PSX, SBC and GSX, ALU-FRC,CNP, SMARTS, InfoVista, etc. to achieve end to end service fulfilment functionality. The service information in APT can be synced to various downstream systems synchronously and asynchronously.

As part of this project the ask was to revamp the legacy Automated Provisioning Tool with the new technology sets which can cater to increase load on the application, overcome the existing security concerns and build the DR for the application.

Summary

To support the increasing demand in the market for High bandwidth Services and to reduce the COST of network inventory by using the IQNET devices, Network changes were required to support these across network in the Europe, Asia and US. To provision, activate the network, IT solutions were required to be enhanced and hence Netcracker was shortlisted to do the zero touch provisioning.

Major challenge was to Customize Net cracker as per COLT requirements and integrate the same with various existing tools (like IPSA, STP, router tools, OMP etc) for all the different products supported by COLT i.e. IP Access, IP VPN, Ethernet etc.

Xpertis view one of the key products from first media which helps in providing strategic information of the Vendors QOE metrics, Xpertis View has a communication server as front-end through which the other Xpertis family products contact.

Xpertis View correlates the received metrics and provides a broad perspective of the video quality across the network. These information are used by a NOC technician, a customer support executive, field technician, and network managers.

In addition to the above, Xpertis View provides a remote diagnostics interface to Xpertis Remote component deployed at customer STB and IPTV network.NOC support staff can isolate troublesome or affected STBs from the top level end-to-end QoE view, and have the ability to remotely assess the troublesome STB to gain firsthand information without involving costly truck rolls.
