Formalin plant (PerstorpFormox technology 172000 TPY) I actively engaged in the pre-commissioning and commissioning phases of a nitric acid plant MNB, Aniline, PMDA and TDI with Sadara Project. This process involved the production of weak nitric acid, MNB, Aniline and Formalin. During this period, I was responsible for overseeing and managing several critical tasks to ensure the successful launch and operation of the plant.
In the pre-commissioning phase, my responsibilities included: 1 Equipment Inspection and Testing: Collaborated with the engineering team to inspect and test all equipment and systems to verify their readiness for operation. Ensured that all components were in optimal condition for the commissioning phase. 2 System Integration: Ensured proper integration and functioning of various systems such as pressure vessels, pumps, reactors, and cooling systems. Coordinated with different teams to address any interfacing issues.
3 Documentation Review: Thoroughly reviewed all technical documents, process flow diagrams, and operating manuals to ensure accuracy and alignment with the plant's design.

4 Safety Checks: Worked closely with the safety team to conduct safety checks, verifying the implementation of safety measures and procedures in accordance with industry standards.
5 Training: Organized training sessions for the operational staff, providing them with the necessary knowledge and skills to handle equipment and respond to potential challenges. During the commissioning phase, my key activities included: 1 System Start-up: Oversaw the step-by-step start-up of the plant's processes, ensuring that each system was brought online safely and efficiently. 2 Process Optimization: Collaborated with process engineers to optimize various parameters for optimal productivity, efficiency, and product quality. 3 Troubleshooting: Led troubleshooting efforts in case of any technical glitches or challenges that arose during the commissioning process. 4 Quality Control: Monitored the quality of the produced weak nitric acid, conducting regular quality checks to ensure it met the required standards. 5 Process Validation: Ensured that the entire production process adhered to the designed specifications and met safety and environmental standards. 6 Documentation and Reporting: Maintained detailed records of the commissioning activities, documenting each step and any deviations from the planned processes. Throughout the entire pre-commissioning and commissioning phases, I collaborated closely with cross-functional teams, including process engineers, safety experts, and operational staff, to ensure a smooth and successful transition from construction to operation. Sadara Chemical company Technical production head (20th August 2013 to 2023), Sadara chemical company is joint venture of Aramco and Dow chemical company, producing various chemicals and petrochemicals.
Present responsibilities with Sadara Chomical Company 1. Serve as the technical and process subject matter expert, providing expertise and guidance in the individual's area of specialization.
2. Monitor the process, safety, quality, and energy conditions on a daily basis, identifying gaps and developing action plans to optimize performance.
3. Conduct Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR) for various modifications and projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
4. Offer daily technical and process engineering support to production, environmental health and safety (EHS), quality, and maintenance teams.
5. Identify and implement improvements in existing processes, leveraging expertise to optimize operations.
6. Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to manufacturing teams, promptly addressing production issues.
7. Monitor process conditions through trend analysis, communicating findings to production and maintenance teams.
8. Lead or participate in regular audits of existing processes to ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.

9. Establish and maintain effective and efficient process measures, optimizing performance and reliability.
10. Utilize the company's Management of Change (MOC) procedures and lead MOCs from initiation to completion.
