World Class Manufacturing Team Resource – Process Capability / Quality Assurance

CertainTeed, SAINT-GOBAIN, Malvern, PA (June 2017 – July 2019)

Performed quarterly capability studies in the Roofing Manufacturing process to identify variation in the Filled Coating Process, with live data.

Identified opportunities to reduce variation and improved deviation, which resulted in improved process quality of the finished product.

Evaluated the rewinding process to eliminate process defects and salvage the quality of the product i.e. two percent reduction to salvage 700k linear feet of glass mat for the roofing process.

Plant Manager / Regional Manager

CertainTeed Corporation, Wilmington, CA (January 2002 – June 2017)

Managed multiple roofing manufacturing facilities while demonstrating and collaborating a safe work environment for all CertainTeed employees, contractors, and visitors.

Supervised, monitored, educated, and developed staff and hourly employees on Continuous Improvement of our Key Performance indicators that consisted of Safety, Quality, Cost, Customer Service and People Development.

Trained and educated personnel on the P&L through safety, cost, quality claims and corrective actions, raw material efficiencies, cost per square, logistic cost (demurrage, stand by time, customer service). During my responsibilities as the Manager of the Wilmington facility, I was assigned to Manage regions of the West Coast (Portland, OR, Fremont, CA, and Wilmington, CA) and during a different time period, the South-Central Region (Shreveport, LA and Ennis, TX).

Managed the hiring and development of the Plant Manager’s in these facilities while assisting with the managing of KPI’s, union and non-union workforce, negotiations of the Collective Bargaining Agreements throughout all facilities.
