Work Experience

2018-2024 American Plant Food Corp. - Galena Park, TX

Position: Corporate Logistics and New Carrier Manager

Work with the current fleet management team and the on boarding of new outside bulk carriers, focusing on hopper, end dump and pneumatic carriers.

Reduce expense of transportation to the 9 network facilities in TX. Develop carrier selection during peak busy season as to scale up or down supply chain as needed.

Audit all freight bills and approve for ACH payment. Monitor carrier performance and remove carriers not performing to KPI’s.

Review monthly fleet mileage report for inefficiencies and reduction of operating cost. Reduce empty miles and increase equipment utilization. Locate backhaul opportunities as needed to increase fleet revenue per mile.

Assist with fleet safety and accident review board in order to reduce insurance cost.

Reduce carrier turn over by establishing lanes and have carriers assigned to these lanes, therefore reducing cost and improving capacity during busy peaks and seasons.
