- When a pre-authorization is denied by the insurance company, the Sleep Study Scheduler may be requested to set-up and coordinate a “peer-to-peer” call with the insurance company.

- The Sleep Study Scheduler schedules patients for in lab nighttime and daytime sleep studies. The patient shall be provided with written sleep study instructions, as well as verbal instructions.

- The Sleep Study Scheduler determines the amount of deductible and co-payment required at the time of the sleep study and discusses this with the patient in advance.

- The Sleep Study Scheduler communicates with patients to provide sleep study appointment reminder and confirmation of the appointment.

- The Sleep Study Scheduler prepares the paperwork and forms necessary for each patient’s sleep study so that it is ready for the technologist at the time of the study.
