Developed, initiated and led US market entry plans for major Latin American enterprises, from strategy to execution. This included research and insights, cultural training and education of sales teams, channel identification, revenue planning.

Major clients:

EcoBaby Diapers (2018-2019). For Venezuela’s pioneering and innovative “green” diaper company, I played a critical role, advising the international expansion team on all key facets of entering the U.S. market – a David versus Goliath challenge given the scale and market dominance of US diaper brands Pampers and Huggies.

oDeveloped final recommendations for entering the US diaper market and concise implementation strategy.

oWorked directly with EcoBaby’s marketing team to create bespoke US development tools and critically, to establish the US pricing guide and US sales strategies for both brick and mortar retail and e-commerce channels.

oEstablished foundational relationships with Amazon and Ebay, and launched EcoBaby’s all-important online sales to consumers.

LATCOM (2016-2017). Based out of New York, for Latin America’s largest provider of out of home (OOH) advertising, I served as acting VP of US Hispanic and International Sales, planning the company’s entry into the US Hispanic and International markets.

oReviewed required media planning tools and researched databases for the US market. Recommended key systems for entry.

oStructured sales teams by city and state, with initial emphasis on NYC, Los Angeles and Chicago.

Managed the international advertising sales team out of New York for both Linear TV and Digital properties for the biggest Discovery brands, including the namesake Discovery Channel, TLC and Discovery Home & Health. Assembled and led sales teams in NYC, London, Singapore, Sydney, Toronto, Mexico City and Sao Paolo to support execution of media plans across the globe.

●Created and executed multinational campaigns across linear TV, digital and mobile applications with annual revenue ranging from $10M to $14M, with key accounts spanning sports, financial services, tech, luxury goods, movie studios, tourism boards, CPG and other product category sales.

●Drove average year-to-year sales growth up to 30%+ above targets.

●Earned recognition as Discovery’s top US international sales executive of the year three years in a row.

oElevated the role of Discovery Networks to “must include” status with movie studios WB and Sony Pictures, driving significant new revenue and resulting in Discovery being included in many more media buys. Initiated PR, marketing and custom global promotions events that integrated Discovery on-air talent into event programming with the movie studios.

oDrove development of Intel’s first ever global sponsorship on Discovery Channel with the highly acclaimed series “Curiosity” and executed over 40 individual media plans across the globe. Achieved double digit growth in awareness and purchase intent of Intel and its products, including the all-important Ultrabook products.

Manager Global Ad Sales, Sony Pictures Television International, 2003–2006

Drove global advertising sales out of Los Angeles and managed satellite teams in Singapore, Tokyo, Madrid and London to increase revenue from annual renewals and new clients.

oGenerated over $5M in annual sales with European, Asian and Latin American accounts including electronics, consumer goods, luxury items, international shipping companies and movie studios.
