I was hired by TRS Staffing to support Flour Cooperation at the Alabama Power Station E.H

Gaston Power Plant on a six week outage to replace HRH,Superheat,Reheat,and Economizer, Repair and Replacement. I supported the QC department performing inspection of boiler tubes Fit up,root pass inspections, and final VT. Check for preheating before integrating welding process. Checked welders Filler Materials before welders start welding to keep from cross welding contamination of materials of 80s,and 90s Tig Wire consumables to prevent wrong material introduced into the two different headers we were installing and welding tubes assemblies. One header was two and quarter chrome and the second one was one and quarter chrome. Vessels were verified at the beginning of each shift. Vessels were marked and signs posted to check your filler material and do a QV&V and have the QC or Mechanical Foreman to verified before welding comense .We staggered teams on each header systematically on each header to make production flow better and minimize and prevent any cut-out or rework. Flagged welds and documented welders stencil,weld number sequence, date acceptance by QC and logged in on request for NDE matrix for

RT of those welds accepted for the shift we worked. Respect repairs and reflagged for RT on R-1,R-2 welds that were rejected on Radiography Digital Exposure. Inspected crown seals and marked up repairs, under fill welds, undersized weld reinforcement, undercut and remove arc strike. Inspected crown seals until 100 % finally VT per D1.1 accepted criteria Table 6.1 out of D1.1 AWS Structural Steel

Welding Code. RT rejects for pairs in the area of interest. Documented all inspections daily and reported a turnover to dayshift on a twelve hour shift seven days a week.
