• Completed machine functionality inspections on the client’s equipment post-installation in order to ensure that the client’s business is now functional as well as energy efficient.

• Conducted ASHRAE level audits of commercial buildings, restaurants, warehouses, packaging facilities, and so on, with the intention of mitigating the energy wasted by the building. For example: Adjusting HVAC and Lighting schedules to avoid overheating/cooling and reduce needless consumption at off-peak hours.

• Mediated communications between the utility SDG&E, the California Public Utilities Commission, and private business owners. Predominantly to guide the business owner through California’s environmental rebate program so that they could not only save on emissions and dollars, but get paid for it as well.

• Assembled Project Feasibility Studies based on the ASHRAE audits, as well as my results from the Modified Lighting Calculator, a state made calculator to estimate savings of lighting upgrades. Energy Analyst, Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, VA Spring 2019-Spring 2020 The Virginia Tech Office of Sustainability was put in place to achieve the “Climate Action Commitment”, which aims to decrease Green House Gas emission by 80% of the standard in 1990. This goal was not met.

• Modeled lab buildings on Virginia Tech’s campus in eQuest in order to determine how to better run HVAC, lighting, and controls systems for more efficient use of energy.

• In particular, the alterations to the HVAC systems of one building based on my model saved Virginia Tech

$56,000 a year.
