Implement general nursing duties: phlebotomy, port-a-cath access, daily nursing assessments, wound care, medication administration, G-tube care, Foley care, Cpap/Bipap maintenance, documentation, diabetic care, and IV insertion.

Charge Nurse

manage daily functioning of the unit, as well as delegate nurse and support to staff assignments

Supervise LPNs and Medication Technicians

Performed routine audits during medication administration for both LPNs and med techs

Create annual nursing evaluations, attend clinics, and patient appointments

Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team on each individuals’ progress/needs

Transcribe medical orders

Round daily with the doctor

Precept Medication Technicians, and nursing students

Trained RNs and LPNs new to the job and checked them off on the skills used in the facility

Implement general nursing duties: Trach care, documentation, phlebotomy, oxygen administration, G-tube, assessments, and Foley insertion.
