As the ASP Supervisor/Ammunition Inspector, I assigned, directed, and supervised personnel inspecting, handling, and transporting munitions. I supervised ammunition operations performing surveillance during receipt, storage, shipment, maintenance and demilitarization processes. I established and set timelines and priorities based on unit requirements, ammunition shipments/deliveries, JMC excess directives, and fire restrictions and accomplished all tasks within the deadlines required. I investigated, reported, and documented all work related problems, incidents, and accidents. I performed malfunction investigations, and reports on Camp Williams’ ranges, under the supervision of supporting QASAS. I identified operational processes and procedures IAW HQDA policy and regulatory guidance, Department of the Army Pamphlets, NGB guidance, and directives in creating local Internal SOP procedures for ASP personnel, and an External SOP for units utilizing Camp Williams ASP. I have developed performance standards and objectives for ASP personnel, counseled employees on objectives and standards, and finalized performance appraisals. I have completed numerous inspection receipts, assisted the QASAS with magazine inspections, vault inspections, and unit arms room’s inspections. During FY18 and FY19, Camp Williams ASP has been 100% accurate on all quarterly and special inventories. In FY18, on hand assets exceeded $9.8 million, and was accurately and consistently accounted for during unit issues, turn-ins, and shipments. I completed the 890A Ammunition Warrant Officer Basic Course in March of 2019, where my peers voted me with the leadership award. I worked closely with units from the UT ARNG, Army Reserves, Active Duty, Marines, and out of state ARNG units, in supporting their mission and training requirements at Camp Williams. As Supervisor, I planned the use of personnel, from the USPFO and supporting unit’s 89B MOS Ammo Handlers, equipment/vehicles, and facility support to ensure mission accomplishment in an efficient manner.
