Dougherty Award”, “2009 Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center Volunteer and Sponsor of the Year Award”, “2010 MOAA Robert J. Lahm Award”, and 2011 AUSA 3rd Region Significant Achievement Award”.

Army Aviation Materiel Readiness and Quality Awards for Outstanding Contributions by a Small Business 1997 and 1998.

Military decorations include the German Silver Cross, two Combat Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry, the Legion of Merit, 5 Meritorious Services Medals, the Defense Joint Meritorious Service Medal, 15 Combat Air Medals, the Army Commendation Medal, and others.

An honors graduate of three police academies and also has worked as a Police Officer, Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) Reengineering Consultant, and College Instructor for the Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, University of Maryland, Chapman University, and Lassen Community College. Holds several records for marksmanship, tactics, arrests, and convictions and zero complaints in police departments served.

As Past President and current VP for Veteran Affairs of the Charleston, SC Chapter of the Association of the US Army (AUSA), led the chapter to “best chapter” worldwide in 2009 and “runner up” 3rd Region Chapter in 2007, 2008, and 2010.
